Lichen Borealis 2 - Edition of 35, signed - Framed

Edition of 35 In 2015, I travelled to King William Island in Canada's remote north, to report a story on Sir John Franklin’s lost ships. Vegetation is scarce that far beyond the tree line, but I was delighted by the beauty of the lichen growing on rocks. I found their patterns astonishing, I hadn't seen anything like it before, and I made several studies. The blooms and variations resembles the aurora borealis I’d see in the Arctic night sky. - Leanne Shapton
